Outdoor Fireplaces and Fire pits

Cozying up in front of a roaring outdoor fireplace or fire pit is a great way for your residents, or customers, to relax and enjoy your company’s amenities year-round. Outdoor fireplaces and fire pits have become very popular outdoor features and can add ambiance and style to your exterior area. They can also be a beautiful focal point for your landscaping and add interest and style

Increased Value - If you are a builder, an outdoor fireplace or fire pit can increase the value of your ‘new construction’ home. If your business is a hotel, apartment complex or restaurant, an outdoor fireplace gives your residents or guests a reason to enjoy more of your amenities, and also gives you an advantage over competitors who do not have that extra feature.

Planning Your Outdoor Fireplace or Firepit

There are unlimited design styles that can easily be styled to complement your exterior space, as well as your business itself. Styles range from contemporary to rustic, and can fueled from a variety of economical sources.

Fuel Sources

Fireplaces and firepits have several available fuel options, so choosing which one to use depends on what fits in with your environment. Smaller outdoor areas can benefit from an electric source, which requires a simple flip of a switch. Areas that are larger or more open, can utilize an open flame fueled by logs or gas.

  • Natural Gas – Extremely cost efficient, this type of fuel source is easy to use. It can utilize a current gas stub, or we can run a line around, or beneath your slab to tie into your new fireplace or firepit. Natural gas allows you to ignite your fire using either gas logs or real wood.
  • Propane – Normally used for grills, propane can also fuel your fire. An access hatch installed behind the fireplace or firepit makes switching out propane tanks an easy task. One disadvantage of propane, is that the tank must be replaced often.
  • Wood burning – The most straightforward of the fuel sources, wood ignites using any manner of accelerant. This eliminates the need for an electric or gas line. Real wood gives a smoky, rich smell and can be quite nostalgic.
  • Electric – Electric fireplaces and firepits are very easy to ignite, since you just flip a switch. Electricity must be extended from your building, so this can require some work by a licensed electrician.
  • Gel - Gel fuel sources are a great way to add ambiance and charm to your outdoor space. Gel produces no smell or smoke and burns cleanly. This lets your guests take in its heat without odor or smoke. Normally, gel isn’t a great heat producer, however, it does come in a wide selection of mood-inducing colors.

Whichever fuel source is best for your outdoor fireplace or firepit, we will integrate it into a budget friendly, functional design.

Design

Fireplaces can be tied into an existing roof line, or freestanding, while firepits can be built virtually anywhere that has an open side. The advantage of both, is that they are designed to complement your building’s exterior space and can be its own exclusive outdoor feature.

Designing your fireplace or firepit begins with the material itself. There are several materials to choose from, and each has its own distinctive style:

  • Brick
  • Stone
  • Stacked stone
  • Stucco
  • Concrete
  • Granite
  • Glass
  • Tile
  • Marble
  • Metal

All materials used in the build, are weather and fire resistant, and hand-stacked by expert craftsmen. Natural materials, such as granite, marble, brick, and stone, are naturally durable and can last for many years.

Size

Fireplaces and firepits can range from small, to over-sized and can be built on an existing slab, next to it, or freestanding anywhere on your property.

Style

Outdoor fireplaces can be designed as a simple heat source with seating, or as extravagant as needed. They are great at complementing any outdoor seating area, and like firepits, can be built in a concave, circular fashion.

Fire pits are unique in that they can be circular, square or rectangle, with each having its own style and ambiance. There are several options to choose from:

  • Fire Urns
  • Fire Pits
  • Fire Pit Tables
  • Fire Bowls
